Meet Some of the Team
Introducing Hendri Oosthuizen, a seasoned professional with over 15 years of technical sales and applications experience in the Automation industry. With a strong background in installing and commissioning Automated sampling robotic laboratories in the mining sector of South Africa, Hendri has gained extensive expertise in Robotics, Servo technology, and Controls. He has also spent a decade working for a renowned international supplier of automation equipment before moving to New Zealand in 2018.
In New Zealand, Hendri continued to excel in his career within the Automation Industry, joining another globally recognized company that specializes in supplying automation equipment. During this time, he successfully managed projects and provided technical support for their products.
As of April 2024, Hendri has become a valuable addition to the Hyspecs Automation and Control team. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the Automation department, managing projects, and providing support to all of our Automation customers.
Wouter Hurter has more than 15 years of experience in Automation Applications, specialising in drives and controls. He has a diverse background in panel building, design, commissioning, installation, and fault finding. Wouter began his career in South Africa as an applications engineer for a major system integrator, providing complete Automated turnkey solutions. He then joined an internationally recognised supplier as a field service technician, supporting the product to its fullest potential. In 2019, Wouter immigrated to New Zealand and continued his career as a field service engineer with the same company. Currently, he is celebrating his 3rd year as a Controls Engineer at Hyspecs, where he offers complete turnkey solutions, on-site support, programming, and commissioning.
